Devin got his start in photography as a photojournalist for the University of Texas at San Antonio's Student newspaper: The Paisano. From there he started covering live music & focussed on street photography; however, once he discovered the beauty of studio portraiture & being able to control the light during a photoshoot, he completely shifted gears and focussed solely on studio portraiture & headshots. Music was my first love, then I found photography.
Hello, I am Devin De Leon.
I am an Internationally Published photographer from San Antonio, Texas. Now living in Austin; however, I split my time between San Antonio & Austin. I earned my Bachelor's of Fine Art's degree at the University of Texas, at San Antonio. While there I majored in English Literature and studied Photography, Videography, & Creative Writing. Along with my studies at UTSA, I was a Staff Writer & Photographer for the school's newspaper: The Paisano. During my time at The Paisano I discovered that my true passion in life was for photography and ultimately decided to start up my own photography business full time upon graduating.
In my spare time I enjoy listening to vinyl records, playing basketball, and most of all playing music. Before I was a photographer, I focused solely on playing music, and performed at official South by Southwest Showcases & even toured around the country playing in a band. These days I mostly play acoustic guitar and occasionally sing in my project called Yadah, with my significant other, Terrie.
